             Type of Telephone

To use:                           A regular phone line works best for the teleconference calls. Cell phones

also work, but Skype cannot be used (it creates too much static on the

                                                    line). No Skype calls please.

Instructor:                  David Curtis was given the title Lama upon completion of the traditional
three-year retreat under H.E. Kalu Rinpoche in 1992 and founded the
Tibetan Language Institute in 1996. He has an academic background in
classical languages and taught Tibetan to hundreds of Western students
for 24 years. He combines his linguistic skills with a practitioner's
knowledge of Tibetan Buddhism. David has taught seminars in more than
a dozen states, and his classes are highly recommended by
                                                Rinpoches, Lamas, scholars, and students.

GochenTulku Rinpoche (Tulku Sang-ngag Rinpoche) bestowed on

These telephone lessons have been so enlightening and enriching to my practice. It's been so good to learn right at home, with my cup of tea! Yet there's a wonderful teacher present, and other classmates, and the opportunity to ask questions....It can't get any better than that.                      --M.M., AZ

I am taking the level I class and enjoying it tremendously. I have [now] been studying regularly which is helping me feel confident that I'll be able to read and continue learning Tibetan beyond this first class.                                                               --C.P., Palisades, CA
